Your son is not accusing you of "being a parent"!!! Ok, be a parent, but try to relax every now and then, no need to be so strict

This is great to see and I very much enjoyed hearing Mike and Bob back in the Lexicon Valley. However, I had to double check your words Mike when you said you were re-releasing the first ten episodes recorded way back and that they haven't aged a bit. Having enjoyed the show since the beginning, I really had to wonder if you would in fact be re-releasing the second episode which you both discuss a particular slur. While I largely enjoyed the episode and the linguistic discussion on it's own was hardly offensive, towards the end I do believe Bob defended the slur as a catch-all pejorative. To you Bob, I've enjoyed your work from Lexicon Valley, to OTM, The Chaos Scenario (and other writings) and now to Bully Pulpit. Know that I appreciate your journalism regardless of any transgressions real or imagined and am so glad you've found a place at Booksmart Studios where you can continue your great work and I can continue to listen. This particular episode was the only time I've ever felt slightly betrayed, in a way, but not nearly enough to abandon audience for all the reasons listed above. However, Mike, I'm not sure I agree when you say these aren't at least a little dated. I'm curious if you at least in part feel the same considering the episode in question does not appear to be listed for re-release.

"cogito ergo sum" I have cognition, therefore I am. Nature v. nurture. Think about your experiences of puns. You listen to someone, and they introduce a play on words into a linear sentence. Your consciousness at that moment in time slightly expands to capture both meanings of the word either simultaneously or in rapid succession. Consciousness expands to capture that now larger reality. And that expanded consciousness delivers a wee bit of 'ah ha'--of happiness--or bliss. Lucky you. The speaker delivers to the listener w/ words a brief expanded state of consciousness. That core of fundamental nature inside every human being when mixed with nurture (language development) creates the potential of shared bliss. Language is how we share and expand consciousness; it's how we deliver greater realities; we enliven and expand that invisible cognition thru audible and visual points of concrete reality.

I never go to any website and make a comment, but let me do this this time. I can't express my excitement and "happiness" enough to see (listen to) Mike and Bob back. This is probably one of the the most exciting news in these 5 years to me. I've been fan of YOUR podcast, and I was truly, truly sad when you guys just stop appearing in the show (of course, I enjoy John's podcast too). I know you guys are just temporarily back, but welcome back.

(And how big Xander bas become! He was a baby when you guys where still in the show!)
