June, Jejune and Dinner

The Temple of Juno is not nearly as “youthful” as its name would suggest.

The month of June is named after the Roman goddess Juno, whose own name is derived from the Latin word iuventas, meaning youth. How, though, did those Roman i’s become English j’s? Plus, jejune!
